Another day hangin with the kiwi's. Adjusting to life here as normal. I'm finally beginning to get situated into classes after and abrupt end to summer vacation. Part of this was met by the corse syllabi I received the first day of class not too many days ago. It appears that down here there most of the class grade is reliant on tests. For instance I have no class where the final is worth under 35% of my final grade and the only other grades in the class are midterms and maybe one or two assignments. Never thought I would say that I miss busy work. Well at least its sometime until the first test so i have plenty of time to put off the anxiety, although it did/still is get to me at first. Went to the springer last night, apparently the whole school practically goes there on wednesday nights. Its a pub in springston which isn't but a few miles away. There was lots of dancing and the music choice was say dated for the most part. The old juke box there seemed to have been pulled out of a 90's diner. Oh ya we were rocking the YMCA. Nevertheless it was a enjoyable and fun evening. Before hand however i met a bunch of Norwegians and engaged in a rather enlightening and enjoyable conversation of comparing US tax, politics and standard prices for things among numerous other entities. They were very fun individuals and I will be definitely seeing them again. One of them as well happened to be a good big mountain skier like myself and we have already begun to plan some ski trips as they have a car! This weekend I will be headed to Dunedin hopefully on the south end of the island for the cadbury chocolate festival and then to mt cook to fish for some trout so my next post will probably be on sunday. Should be a keen weekend as the kiwis say!
Cheers!
