Lyttleton

Hey Guys, So here are the earthquake photo's I promised ya.  Just the couple that I could get from the container mall without walking the entire perimeter of the Red Zone which would be probably 5 miles at minimum.  Also there are photo's from a trip to Lyttleton which is on the Port Hills outside of Christchurch.

Note the spray paint on the windows

Everyone left in a day it seems, the advertisements are still in the stores

A newspaper in the window that someone must of left the day of the quake

The wall marking the boundary of the red zone where you are not allowed to pass by

The Container Mall!  All the shops are made out of converted shipping containers!

What was the oldest church in NZ

Part of the old prison yard which was converted into a garden.  After the quake the wall to the left was deemed unstable and a fence was erected.  You can see the difference between cared for and not cared for.  A cool story was that when the prison was here it became so full of inmates that they picked it up and walked it down the street leaving the yards empty.  This is where the present day school is built down below where the photo is taken and this little park and monument was erected as well!

Fun Weather Rock!
